CGHS Dispensary at Shimla, Himachal Pradesh
Government is examining the feasibility of opening a CGHS Wellness centre in Shimla.
Central Government Health Scheme is not in operation in 10 states.
Serving Central Government employees residing in areas not covered by CGHS like Himachal Pradesh can avail health benefits under Central Services (Medical Attendance) Rules, 1944. Central Civil pensioners residing in non-CGHS area have the option to avail CGHS facilities from the nearest CGHS city.
Apart from the above, pensioners residing in non CGHS area can also opt for Fixed Medical Allowance @ Rs. 300 per month instead of OPD treatment.
