Sub: Holiday List during the year 2021 for Administrative Offices.

The list of Holidays to be observed by the offices of this Railway situated within the states of Assam, West Bengal, Bihar & Tripura are enclosed for information.

The offices of this Railway situated in Kolkata will observe the same holidays as declared by Eastern Railway for their offices in Kolkata.

The offices of this Railway situated in Nagaland, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur will observe the same holidays as fixed for the staff posted in Assam.

The staff should submit their declaration for availing of any 2 (two) Restricted Holidays within a period of fortnight from the date of receipt of this list.

Those field Unit offices and non-divisionalised offices observing 6 (six) days week will prepare their own- holiday list keeping the provisions of selecting the holidays intact in as much as 3 (three) National Holidays will have to be observed and deducted from the list of total 16 (sixteen) holidays and even, if 3 (three) holidays fall on Sunday, they will be treated as holidays. They may, therefore, prepare the holiday list keeping the General Holiday list in view and also taking the local holidays of special importance and prepare the same and forward 2 (two) copies to this office for information and record. The holidays in no case should exceed 16 (sixteen) days in a year.

21 (Twenty one) Restricted Holidays for Assam, West Bengal, Bihar and Tripura other than Workshop staff are shown in the list.

A list showing the festivals, those falling on Saturdays and Sundays in the year 2021 is enclosed herewith.

Workshop will prepare their own holiday list for 15 (fifteen) days in consultation with both the recognised Unions under intimation to this office. No Restricted Holiday is admissible for Workshop staff.
