The similar pattern of holidays would be followed by the personnel and physicians working at CGHS Offices and Wellness Centres across India, according to the DoPT’s schedule of holidays for the year 2022.

The Department of Personnel and Training under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions announced a Holiday Order on June 8, 2021 for a schedule of holidays for Central Government Offices in the year 2022.

The office memorandum includes a list of classes as well as a list of holidays for the year 2022. One table included 14 Mandatory Holidays, while another listed 12 Restricted Holidays.

The State Capitals’ Coordination Committees may create their own list of Restricted Holidays, taking into account local events. However, after selecting the three variable holidays, the remaining 9 times must be added to the list of limited holidays.

In 2022, the Central Government has announced 17 gazetted holidays for its offices (including three national holidays). According to the resolution of the CGEWCC in State capitals, two more holidays will be added to the list of restricted holidays.
