According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) calendar, all public and private banks will be closed for 21 days in October, including the second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays. The month of October is fun with holidays and festivals, and many banks around the country will be closed.
In October, there are 21 bank holidays in total, although they are divided into state-specific festivals. Only 14 of the 21 holidays are bank leaves provided by the RBI.
The remaining seven days are weekend leaves, which include Sundays as well as the second and fourth Saturdays of each month.
